Months later and still cravings to smoke?

I’m writing this article for those of you, who have been smoke free for a few months and are still getting cravings to smoke. I want to expose the reasons why you are receiving these cravings, as they say “Know your enemy”.

You might have heard of the Myth – “Once a smoker, always a smoker”, or how about the urban legend that we’ve all heard about someones uncle who stopped smoking 20 years ago and still has strong cravings for a cigarrette. If you’ve quit, and are still getting these cravings months later, You might be wondering if you’ll ever be completely free of the dangers of smoking.

These cravings can actually be useful because if you’re experiencing these cravings, congratulations, you now have personally verifyable evidence that 90% of the smoking problem is mental, because your body does not crave Nicotine months after you’ve quit. Armed with this knowledge we can easily see why people return to smoking, if it was a physical addication it would be easier to kick, but because it is a mental one, we need to deal with the problem in a more direct way. Frankly, we need to challenge our own thinking.

Don’t be a pussy about smoking, remember it was hard enough to stop. Don’t forget all about those times you felt so depressed while you smoked, just wishing for a gap to escape from the filthy habit. Never forget waking up in the morning feeling like you were hit by a bus. Some mornings I nearly vomited in the shower, because my body felt so poluted. Its just a disgusting habit.

It took a remarkable effort for you to stop, and this effort is proof that you do care about yourself, your mental heath and your body. You took a huge leap out of the sess pool of smoking, and into this new clean world. This is not to say that this new life without smoking is perfect (far from it), its still business as usual, life will always be challenging and imperfect, but it’s a lot easier if you choose to tackle life without the hinderance of excess alcohol, drugs or cigarrettes, none of these products will benefit you in the long term.

As you can see stopping smoking is more than just extinguishing the fag, but also becoming more intune with yourself and your own personal success. If you’re going to stay off the smokes, your very thought processes need to change and be tuned. You need to release your inner power. The bible has a good quote for this subject – “Be angry, but do not sin”. Remember that song by Twisted Sister – “We aint going to take it”, You have to get angry with this old loser mentality, expell it and get active in your new life without filthy weed.

Luckily you are a winner, so kick smoking in the balls and get on with it!
